First, I'd like to say that you are excellent at writing an interesting and witty post. It was a good and entertaining read.

But, I'd also like to express my opinion and response to post. Music is subjective in nature. People have different tastes in music and enjoy different styles of music. Keeping that in mind, I believe that people should not bash other people's music tastes just because you don't like it. I'm really tried of seeing rude and immature comments like "this band/artist SUCK!" or " this band/artist is garbage". Seriously, can't people have some respect for other artists? Everyone has different visions and inspirations, and that's the beauty of music. Different music inspires and moves different people.
It's inevitable that some music will end up sounding similar to other previous artists. So much music is being generated each day for centuries, it's unavoidable that there'll be overlaps. I'm okay with music that may sound similar to another song, as long as it has it's own unique touch and hand print to it. As long as it's not overly similar, that's not a problem to be personally.
In terms of the 'gender blending' that's going on, I personally see it as just art and personal expression. I don't get why so many people blow their tops at how someone expresses themselves. If everyone is the same and has the same style, that would be freakin' boring and monochromatic. There is nothing wrong with men wearing makeup or women going gangsta and wearing men clothing. Gender is seriously just a society created norm. People need to relax with the gender stereotypes. I see it as those who don't give a flying f*ck about what other people think when comes to their appearance, are those who are gender/sexually secure about themselves. They are confident enough to break boundaries. I may not be a fan of all of them (Rihanna, Tokio Hotel, Lady Gaga, Kiss, Alice Cooper etc.), but I appreciate their ability to just be themselves and incorporate visual appeal to their music.
And I agree with you that the vampire craze for twilight is ridiculous. Those movie adaptations were horrible. I nearly pissed myself when I saw the "sparking in the sun" scene.

Anyways, I really enjoyed reading your entry! You have a way with words
Continue to rock out! PEACE!
