  Hey Chris, Nice blog. Sometimes I don't understand what you're saying, but most of the time I do!

  After your vent, I gotta tell you my pet peeve (one anyway) in 'music' these days; how the hell does making your voice sound like a cross between a hair dryer, lawn mower and chainsaw qualify you as a 'singer'?

  When each syllable you utter is a combination of ten or 12 note harmonics that will 'fit' with any chord background a band plays, how is that musical?

  If I let a guitarist do that crap in my band, it wouldn't be for long; he'd be fired! It's like giving a guitar player one string and two frets, and that's all he uses for a fifteen song set list...

  I'm telling you that gets OLD in a hurry, but some numb nuts get to do that as 'singers' all night long and get paid handsomely?! Heck give me a job with that two fret, one string axe and get me a vocalist that actually has to sing a melody. I'll be the jackass taking a free ride on the drummer, bassist and vocalist instead of the other way around! lol
