I'm Jesse, I play drums, skateboard, snowboard, play hockey, do some guitar, mountain bike, quad, etc etc etc. I love music, especially metal, rock, anything that actually takes talent and has a deep meaning.
I became a fan of Taking Dawn when I saw them open for DragonForce on September 25th, 2009 in Saskatoon. I know the exact date cause I just happen to have the ticket sitting in front of me right now haha I got it signed by Mikey and Andrew that night. Chris was across the crowd talking to some dude so I decided not to bother him and I have no clue where Alan was... haha at the time I could hardly recognize any of the band members... I basically went to the people with sharpies hahahahahaha
Anyway, Taking Dawn blew Sonata Arctica and DragonForce out of the water (in my opinion) and I've been a fan of them ever since that night.
Bought the Taking Dawn t-shirt/EP deal for $10 before their album came out. That was a GREAT fuckin deal guys. Please do something similar in the future.
Joined the forum as soon as I found out that there was one... Didn't post on it because it was as dead as Ke$ha's song writing skills and talent at the time... Hahahaha but yeah, now here I am. Only other thread I've started so far was "A Real Suggestion", in which I'm trying to get all the band members to actually post on their own site. Basically, I'm trying to bring the site to life...
Now... A topic... Let's see... How about what instrument do you play? Talk about your rig, whatever, I'll set up a poll, too. I'll go first. ALL BAND MEMBERS HAD BETTER FRIKIN POST IN THIS THREAD TOO hahahaha
My set up is a Pearl Vision VX with black on black hardware, SABIAN B8 cymbals, I use ProMark TX5AXW sticks (Chris Adler model), Pearl P-122 twin pedal, Pearl 900 series hardware, Remo Emperor heads, stock resos, 14 mil black dot on the snare, PowerStroke 3 on the bass...
I am also on www.pearldrummersforum.com under the same user name... Any other PDFers on here?
Alan, I'll recommend that you join that ^ forum too... It's not restricted to Pearl players, there's lots of people, it's a great way to promote your band, and you'll probably be the most successful drummer on there right now (at least in a band)... Just a suggestion...
Anyway, let loose.
