those were pretty quick explanations on the track-by-track vid, here are some slightly more decent ones. godless-was sort of like the wedding singer cuz i wrote the 1st part before the guitars while i was WITH the girl and the rest afterward (i actually wrote down a lot of the lyrics WHILE we were breaking up, i figured something good ought to come out of it) never enough-being scared of opening yourself to a new person after you've already been hurt and knowing that once you take certain steps they can't be taken back. apprehension in the face of commitment. fear of failure. seeing that so much is the same in all relationships, be they family/friends/romantic/platonic and seeing the potential for greatness not being sure when you can trust something close your eyes-back to trust. trying to let go when it's over, and hoping that they'll let you go too. being right next to someone and feeling like they're a million miles away because you just don't have the words to connect or to express yourself, or you feel like they're just not connected anymore. not wanting to think of someone and not being able to help it. wanting to be free from the weight of your past. knowing where someone else's thoughts are when they're with you and they're not of you. take me away-a little story about a runaway turned lady of the night that sprang into my head while writing the melodies to this song. far from the most original of ideas, but in THIS installment of the story, she's already been on the street for a while and she's so numb because of it. She's rescued by her "white knight", of sorts (in the 3rd verse when the perspective changes from 3rd to 1st person), and it reminds me of True Romance, if you've ever seen that flick.i have this killer Sin City style music video for it in my head, but we'll prob never have the money to make it, lol. i was forced to leave out a lot of the more bitter and cerebral lines because there wasn't room and the tone was darker than the mode of the song. I have another installment coming that's sort of how she got to this point. I really like the music too it and since i don't think it's going to compete as a potential single with the more focused songs i'm writing, i wanna make it as epic as it will allow like a revolution-my unending frustration with the BULLSHIT music industry and every aspect of it, lol. a bunch of brainless vampires, and i couldn't be happier if dawn would just creep across the horizon and incinerate these cynical cervical cysts. and these motherfuckers really feel like their untouchable immortals with the all-seeing, all-knowing inexorable, infallible omnipotence of industrial godhood bestowed upon them by...oh that's right, NOT A GOD DAMNED THING! They DON'T have the fucking answers, but they sure as shit like to pretend they do. Like any profession whose executive branch I've observed, the higher you go the less people know, lol. It's just a lot of lucky folk with a mild amount of resolve who are sustained by a handful of exceptional individuals who manage to keep the ship afloat. And believe me "floaters" is a term that frequents my mind when thinking of these people. This song's about just wanting to erupt, rupture, and ransack their institutionalized indifference and all around lack of inspiration and vision of any sort. there's PLENTY more shit spitting like this to come in the new material. I'm always so angry, you think Eminem is helping or hurting? save meThe chorus was about my break up, but the song worked on a dual plane when i started writing the verses and they came out a little "edgier" (that's an inside joke). In my head, it was sort of a No More Tears thing, where the killer falls in love with his captive. He projects all of his issues onto her and she becomes the totem to personify his psychosis. Breaking her and making her feel his suffering transforms her into him and he can free himself of his anguish by destroying her. But he falls in love with her, arguably because now she has become him and sadistic people for all their longing for love are only ever in love with themselves. Somewhat like Steinbeck's tragic figure, he doesn't mean to destroy her, but he can't take it back and now he's alone in a way he's never been because he's not only lost her but now himself, as well. That's the PSYCHO in me that interpreted pondering to pen to paper. The other side of the story is just how much you can hurt and how much you want the ones hurting you to understand your pain. Sometimes we just let people hurt us, even though we can stop them. Sometimes stopping them only causes more pain for both parties. There's a whole faggoty martyr thing going on that's very pitiful, but when you're depressed seems so poignant, lol. While you're experiencing loss, it's all so painstakingly pertinent, but often an extraneous perspective makes you feel like pathetic as a person for feeling so vulnerable. You can always argue both sides. The answers got a little more in depth as I found my rhythm, so if anyone's interested in more let me know ;) Thanx for spending your boredom with me B SHRED OR B DED Chris |

Always interested in more. Care to talk to me about "Endlessly"? I'd kill to be your hero but I'll die before I make myself your martyr |

haha love it thanx alot chris for taking the time out i know your super busy and i am deeply appreciative of your time which i know is always spoken for and as i can imagine was always spoken for before you got into a band. i must admit you use some preeeeeeeeeety big words oh gifted one lol but i did not understand half of them let alone try to pronounce them as my mum looked over and asked me why i was pullin faces at her laptop lol i replied this is illegal lol she looked puzzled and walked away. i just used the chain as a background song for a video i made of my children Devon 4yrs and Ashlee 3yrs as they spent there whole lives together up until last year wen my daughters dad decided greed was more important than a brother and sister bond so its the chains that keep them together and YES i did cry wen i played it back but was only made possible by my video and TD's lyrics vs. music totally blew me away. so massive THANX go out to you all. As for the eminem scenario i love him he shares his own past to present situations like you have and i love that about artists, Eminems song Beautiful is one i relate to alot. but theres darker ones i shut myself off too so your not alone on that front chris. i need to tell you about some things that ive experienced in the last two years, you would have the most amazing song so much pain, loss, heartbreak and unforgiven sins that others have caused. i hope you guys can be in the uk for my birthday omg would be awesum but thats not till june lol take care and keep me updated on the awesumness that is TAKING F****N DAWN haha xx
